Make it easier

Coach moves slowly and theatrically; children may walk their tail home.

Level it up

Carry a rugby ball to the home base before returning for the next tail.

30 pups

Second adult as a tag-tail coach, or split into 2–3 zones.

Stay safe & strong

Pull the tail only — never clothing or belt.

Early Years 3–5 / KS1 5–7

EY: Coach moves slowly and theatrically. Children simply grab one tail and walk or run it home.

KS1: Coach changes direction more often, children carry a rugby ball to and from home, or two tag-tail coaches work at once.
